While there is an on-going increase in people with various kidney diseases, there is not a corresponding increase in the number of nephrologists required for the treatment of this vulnerable group. The care of this group in large areas of the world, especially in the low-resource settings, falls to primary care physicians/family physicians.
It is important that primary care physicians are aware of the baseline evidence-based approach and diagnosis of people with underlying kidney diseases, able to render the appropriate guidelines-based care and to identify the need to refer to a specialist care facility.
There will be new modules released monthly with more than 20 in total, future areas to be covered are:
· Glomerulonephritis
· Hypertension
· Acute Kidney Injury
· Diabetic Kidney Disease
· Pregnancy
· Chronic Kidney Disease
· Dialysis
· Transplantation
· Palliative Care
· And More
