This course will provide an overview of qualitative health research. It will cover the purpose and definition of qualitative research, methodologies, study design, data collection and analysis, and discuss how to assess rigor and report qualitative studies. The course will include an 80-minute lecture and a 60-minute interactive session analysis and critical appraisal workshop.
This course is suitable for Nephrologists in training but it’s also appropriate for physicians and surgeons in other disciplines, as well as nurses, dietitians and medical students who have an interest in Nephrology. There is a special focus for nephrologists in LMIC / LIC who are wishing to update their research capabilities and understand key concepts in quality health research.
