WCN'22: Acid-Base and Electrolytes Course

Recorded On: 02/24/2022

This course reviews new developments in the pathophysiology and treatment of hyponatremia, potassium disorders, and acid-base disorders.  Participants can expect cutting-edge talks on the distal tubular potassium switch, recent developments in hyperaldosteronism, the pathophysiology of hyponatremia and osmotic demyelination, and the role of pendrin in metabolic alkalosis.  In addition, a special four-talk symposium, “SGLT2 Inhibition From the Bench to Clinic: All that You Need to Know”, will review renal physiology of SGLT2 inhibition, clinical trial data, practical aspects of use in the clinic, and the physiological complications of SGLT2 inhibitors.
