Kidney Itch CKD-associated Pruritus: Under-recognized and Under-treated

We describe the problem of kidney itch in detail, document its

impact on people’s lives and review the current understanding of its pathophysiology. We then set out an evidence-based approach to its assessment and management. We hope this book draws more attention to kidney itch and helps make it a higher priority. A quality improvement program to identify and treat everyone with kidney itch would be a significant way to improve the lives of people with kidney disease
