Renal Pathology and Nephrotic Syndrome Module 2: 
Activity overview/background

This module will teach the learner the approaches towards interpreting glomerular lesions. You will learn about the different compartments of the glomerulus as well as the common pathologic lesions encountered while examining glomeruli in a renal biopsy. Finally, we will learn about common differential diagnoses of nephrotic syndrome to consider when examining lesions, through videos and interactive case studies.

Target Audience 
The primary intended audiences for this learning program are pathologists, lab technicians, nephrologists interested in the basics of renal pathology, medical students and residents.

Learning Objectives 
1. Know the different compartments of the glomerulus as well as the common pathologic lesions encountered while examining glomeruli in a renal biopsy
2. Be able to identify common differential diagnoses of nephrotic syndrome to consider when examining lesions.
