Introduction to Renal Biopsies Module 1: 

Activity overview/background
This module will teach you about the use of various techniques to assess a renal biopsy. You will learn about technical procedures for identification, allocation, processing and staining the renal biopsy for light microscopy, immunofluorescence and electron microscopy. You will also learn about procedures for commonly used special stains.

Target Audience 
The primary intended audiences for this learning program are pathologists, lab technicians, medical students and residents.

Learning Objectives 
1. Know the various techniques to assess a renal biopsy
2. Know and understand the technical procedures for identification, allocation, processing and staining the renal biopsy for light microscopy, immunofluorescence and electron microscopy.
3. Understand the procedures for commonly used special stains.

Accreditation: 

If you choose to complete this session in accredited mode, you will be prompted to complete all the components of the module in sequential order. You can complete each component in several sittings but you cannot skip any portion of the activity without completing the previous one.

You must obtain a minimum score of 70% in the post-test in order to complete the activity and claim a certificate of completion.
